David Steinberg received his Ph. D. degree in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1983. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin and at Stanford University before joining the faculty of Tel Aviv University in 1985. He has been a Full Professor since 2006. His research interests focus on experimental design, industrial statistics, and statistical applications in medicine and seismology. He represented the State of Israel at the Seismic Screening Meetings held under the auspices of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization. From 2008-2010 he was Editor of the leading journnal Technometrics.
